Blue Dog Exhibit - George Rodrigue

On Sundays Dwight brings me breakfast in bed... but today I thought Donuts sounded great!!! :D Sooo we went to Mary Lees before church...I got a good ole eclair like my daddy used to bring us after working a night shift...yummy! :D
At church they are doing a series called Family Portraits... today they had a photo area set up where you could take your own...we got a little silly.... check out my Knight in Shining Armor!!! ;)

Today we went to LSU MOA for a George Rodrigue (The Blue Dog master! :) art show! Afterwards we got to meet him and sign the book we bought. I Love being able to hang out with my best friend all the time...so blessed to be married to him! :D

Videos From Our Haiti Trip

After we landed we got on the bus…after waiting in the heat for a good 30 mins. This is part of our ride where we prayed.

Dwight jumps around second 40… I was under the cliff he jumped off of and I didn’t know where he was jumping from…kinda freaky!!! He survived!

4th of July Party! :D

We decided the best way to get the house in “order” was to have a party!  Things were getting done but… setting the date for a party… made us step it up!  So we made a to-do list and started getting things checked off! We got pictures hung around the house, the patio cleaned off and decorated, the front garden redone, and lots of other little things that probably wouldn’t have gotten done if not for the party! 
The party was lots of fun! We had lots of family and friends from church over to our house for the first time. Dwight grilled up some burgers and some of his awesome bacon wrapped chicken bites!!!   Folks brought awesome food and desserts! Everything was so yummy. Our friends Matt and Ashley let me take their little girl swimming for the first time! She loved the water… she was splashing and laughing and kicking! 

There are at least 5 women in our couples bible study that are pregnant!… well as of today 4 because one of them had the baby today! BUT at the time of the party… we had a crew of prego ladies:

I think Dwight is just adorable! Don’t you agree?!  … I mean look at those eyes, and that smile, and those dimples! 

This picture below is Dwight and our niece… she didn’t know I was about to take their pic..otherwise her head would be the other direction! But I snuck up on them and got this shot…she was a bit tired from swimming!  He Loves her so and she says he is her boyfriend! … how cute is that?! 

Getting things done around the house! :D

We got 9 things knocked of our to do list today….cleaning up stuff… decorating… moving stuff… all kinds of stuff… here are some pics:

So we painted it!  

I also painted some pallets to use in a “layout” bed by the pool! I hung up lights on the patio… I used mason jars from our wedding and tied them to the beams of the rooking… and then stuck lights inside the jars and on to the next jar! 
This I did for decorations for the 4th! There are 4 cans… U S A <3 (heart!)
