I am far behind updating the rest of our lives on our blog but I wanted to take a minute and post about our trip to Haiti. It was a mission trip with our church, Healing Place Church. We had an amazing team and really feel like we made a difference. We helped 3 local churches while there and taught them how to set up a sports ministry. Soccer is the sport of choice for most kids in Haiti. They will play with anything they can kick! So our goal was to help the churches and the pastors understand that its not really about soccer but instead about using it as a tool to bring kids to church so they can hear the gospel! Our team was only 14 people... but the small size of our team allowed us to all really have the chance to get to know each other. Our trip was only 5 days long...but it really felt like weeks! In a good way....ha. Here are some pics:
